With Halloween around the corner its only appropriate to talk about the king of nightmares himself: Freddy Krueger's Nightmare on Elm Street. Nightmare on Elm Street is the first in the series and leaves quite an impression upon first viewing, making us never want to sleep. The story's main focus of characters are Tina Gray (Amanda Wyss), Rod Lane (Jsu Garcia), Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp), and her parents Donald Thompson (John Saxon) her father, and Marge Thompson (Ronee Blakley) her mother, and Nancy's boyfriend Glen Lantz (Johnny Depp), and of course Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) . Nightmare on Elm Street starts off with Tina being chased in a boiler room being chased by an airy figure with knives for fingers. Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Image
Think back to your most boring high school days, maybe even middle school where all you kept thinking was "I'd rather be anywhere else but here". Well that's what Ferris Bueller had thought in doing so has given us what we can accomplish with a little teamwork and manipulation. Ferris Bueller's day off is a film that showcases Ferris Bueller's (Matthew Broderick) final days of senior year in which he decides he wants one more day of glory and who could do that while in school. He can't pull it off alone though so he convinces his best friend Cameron Frye (Alan Ruck) to assist him getting his girlfriend Sloane Peterson (Mia Sara) out of school while trying to outsmart principle Edward Rooney (Jeffery Jones) and Ferris's sister Jeanie (Jennifer Grey) . Ferris represents our rebellious and calm side when things go our way or when its not and we think that it will be in the end. In reality if we were to try this most of us wouldn't even get passe...

I'm Batman

Coming out of the shadows is the caped crusader himself, Batman (1989) Batman was the first live action film for the dark knight and yes, everyone has their preferred Batman ranging from 1960s Adam West all the way to current day Ben Affleck, but yet this one is still remembered fondly. The casting is practically flawless the talented Micheal Keaton surprising everyone with the serious tone Bruce Wayne while at the time Keaton was labeled as a comedic actor. The menacing Jack Nicholson and the manacle Joker, Nicholson acting is over the top, funny, and at times scary. His performance has shown how the threatening the joker could be if he came out of the pages of the comics. We also have the lovely Kim Basinger as Vicky Vale, Bruce's love interest, shes the gorgeous curious journalist that has a funny feeling about Bruce Wayne, and shell do anything t find out what it is.  At first glance we are put into a dark atmospheric crime driven city, a great depiction of Gotham City. They drew first blood not me

Up next is the Vietnam veteran himself, John Rambo. At first glance, average action movie muscle man, John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone), goes around causing mayhem but there’s more than meets the eye. The film opens up with Rambo going to visit a friend he had during the war only to find out he had died from cancer from exposure to chemicals during the war. We already understand that Stallone’s alone, so we sympathize with him as we see that he walks down a road, with no one by his side. Rambo continues walking till he finds a small town in Washington. He meets the town's Sheriff, Will Teasle (Brian Dennehy) who is suspicious of Rambo and tells him to not return after giving him a ride. This sets up the conflict as Rambo means no harm and attempts to walk back for some food only to get arrested. We, the audience, feel like Rambo is being judged because he is an outsider and the police don't really know him. Our blood only continues to boil when they abuse Rambo at the p...
