Everyone's favorite whip carrying archaeologist Indiana Jones, but more specifically the first film "Raiders of the lost Ark".

Raiders of the lost Ark is more than digging up lost history. Its about the adventures that take place while looking for them.
In the first scene we see Jones exploring the jungle when he stumbles upon the temple of Peru to retrieve the Golden Idol. The temple is extremely booby trapped to wear even shadows can make them go off. In the room with the Idle he must tip toe to avoid setting of the poisonous darts and must carefully replace the Golden Idol with a bag of sand that weighs the same. This being the beginning of the film we know Jones isn't going to die, but we can't felt but tighten our muscles as we feel his stress and how precise he must be as one mistake could possibly be his last.
Of course I have to bring up the most iconic scene in the movie, the dreaded giant boulder chase. This scene is so much fun as is by luck Jones is rushing through the traps without getting a scratch, he uses with whip to swing to safety as well as jumping and climbing all while the temple is going to collapse on him.
This is not just an action movie but its also competitive. Dr. Jones has been in a rivalry with archaeologist Rene Belloq, Who is after the Ark when he hears Jones has been hired to track it down to prevent the Nazis from taking it.
Traveling to Nepal to collect the head peace to the Staff of Ra to aid him on his journey, he meets Marion Ravenwood. This is where we are introduced to a bit of romance in his character as we see them bicker and flirt from time to time. Marion is not just eye candy for Jones, she is also very intelligent is archaeology and aids Jones with coming up with theories on where the Ark may be.
Indiana Jones is also filled with action as he is taking on Nazis in the desert, in bars, silently using their digging spot under their noses. The Staff of Ra comes into play here as Jones needs to place the staff in the right location at the right time so the sunlight that shines through it will reveal the arks location.
The Nazis discover Jones and Marion's progress take them captive. With Dr. Rene Belloq scolding Jones on how he's just helping the Nazis for the money. The Ark is found and they are taken to an island in the Aegean Sea. Before the opening of the Ark Jones warns Marion to keep her eyes shut as he suspects terrible things will happen after the opening.
The film takes a turn into a really short horror film. Dr Rene Belloq, Colonel Dietrich's, and Major Arnold Toht open the Ark. Ghosts a released from the Ark and the Nazis watch in astonishment, but are quickly terrified when the Ghost reveal to be the Angels of Death. The Ark unleashes the waft of God onto the Nazi's and giving Belloq, Dietrich, and Toht a terrible fate.
Dietrich's head shrivels up, Tohl's face melts off from his skull, and Belloq's head explodes. This is all very amusing to watch as at the time we see how the power of God cannot be controlled by mortals.
Jones and Marion were free to go in the after math, as the Ark engulfs the Nazis leaving no trace. Jones returns the Ark to Washington DC where officials say it will be looked at by "Top men". The Ark is then last scene in a Government warehouse with other crates from who knows where. Leaving the audience wondering what's to come next.
